PRACTICE
Gilbert Architects was established by Denis Gilbert in 1992, committed to the principle of value added design, where the cost benefits of good quality architecture & design directly result in an enhanced value of a completed development. This is still central to our design approach.
Completed works include; residential developments, ranging from one-off single family dwellings, to apartments in mixed-use projects and selected domestic extensions; offices; shops; commercial and industrial developments. These finished projects are located in Dublin, Meath, Kildare, Wicklow and Kilkenny. International involvement at a design level has included Airport terminal projects at Borispol, Kiev, Ukraine and Gdansk, Poland.
Based in Rathmines, the office at 10 Church Avenue incorporates state of the art hardware, software and networking/ broadband communication technologies, with a full in house printing capability.
Our design approach for most projects involves the use of 3d modelling for client convenience and comprehension.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Denis Gilbert is a fully registered member of the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland, membership number 90052. MRIAI is a recognised formal qualification in architecture, listed in the EU Architects Directive (5/ 384/ EEC), he has been a member of the institute since 1990.
Qualifications include a BA Degree in Architectural Studies (Part 1 RIBA) from Liverpool Polytechnic and a Diploma in Architecture from the Mackintosh School of Architecture at Glasgow University (Part 2 RIBA).
Denis Gilbert was elected into the Royal Institute of British Architects on 18 January 1989 after passing the Part 3 Professional Practice examination. Admission to the RIAI followed a subsequent return to Dublin in 1990.
